Richard Malone, M.D., is a professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and co-director of the Drexel University College of Medicine Autism Consortium. He is also the director of the Drexel Autism Center, which provides assessment, treatment, and other services to autistic children and their families, and conducts clinical trials and other treatment studies. Dr. John Welsh is a professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology and has an extensive background in autism research. He is also a member of the Drexel University College of Medicine Autism Consortium, a multidisciplinary program dedicated to understanding the neurobiological deficits underlying autism as they relate to early predictors of the disorder and to developing improved, novel options for diagnosis and treatment.
