The forum will address research in women’s health, with special emphasis given to the specific vulnerability of women to alcohol and drug related problems. Guest speakers include Dr. Loretta Sweet Jemott, University of Pennsylvania; Dr. Emmanuel S. Onaivi, William Paterson University; and Dr. Dace Svikis, Virginia Commonwealth University.

“Substance abuse can be a profound contributor to depression and other ailments for women,” said forum host Lynn Yeakel, Director of Drexel University College of Medicine’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership. “The need for expanded knowledge and research on this issue is critical.”
