While their peers are spending the summer at the shore or around the campfire, a select group of Philadelphia area high school students are getting a head-start on their careers at Drexel University College of Medicine’s Mini-Med Summer Camp. The camp is the only program of its kind in the nation, offering high school students an intensive six-week experience to help them learn about a future career in medicine while providing them one-on-one interaction with physicians in a variety of specialties.

A scientist from Drexel University College of Medicine has demonstrated in a lab animal the successful regeneration of injured spinal nerve endings and recovery of arm movements.
