College of Medicine hosts symposium on drug treatment of cognitive and attention disorders

Scientists at Drexel University College of Medicine will gather this weekend to discuss the pharmacology, physiology, and behavioral testing of drugs used to treat cognitive and attention disorders. The goal is to encourage an exchange of ideas to translate catecholamine neurobiology to clinical practice.

College of Medicine hosts breast cancer symposium

Physicians and scientists at Drexel University College of Medicine will gather to present the latest in breast cancer research during an interdisciplinary scientific symposium taking place at the college this weekend. Faculty from the College of Medicine will be joined by researchers from the university’s College of Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems to exchange ideas for future collaborations in translational medicine and applied biotechnology. The symposium will be held on Saturday, May 17th inside the Student Activity Center, 2900 Queen Lane, Philadelphia.

May 6, 2008 - In Memoriam: June F. Klinghoffer, M.D., WMC ’45, revered faculty member

June F. Klinghoffer, M. D., an alumna of Woman’s Medical College and revered faculty member who taught at the College of Medicine for five decades, passed away on May 3. She was 87. Dr. Klinghoffer continued to participate in College of Medicine activities in recent years, serving on Drexel’s Legacy Committee and as co-chair of the campaign to build a permanent home for the College’s Archives. The family respectfully requests that contributions in her memory be made to the Archives Building Fund:
