Philadelphia, PA (May 22, 2012) – The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship recently selected three Drexel University College of Medicine students as Greater Philadelphia Schweitzer Fellows for 2012-13. Phoebe Dacha, Alicia Howard, and Ashley Stephens will join approximately 240 other Schweitzer Fellows from across the country in conceptualizing and carrying out service projects that address the unmet health needs of underserved individuals and communities.

Philadelphia, PA (May 10, 2012) – Drexel University College of Medicine announced today that it is a Grand Challenges Explorations winner, an initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Christopher Vinnard, M.D., MPH, assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases & HIV Medicine, will pursue an innovative global health and development research project, titled "A Novel Diagnostic Test for Poor Anti-TB Drug Bioavailability."

Philadelphia, PA (May 7, 2012) – Proud family and friends will gather to honor members of the Class of 2012 during the commencement ceremony for Drexel University College of Medicine on Friday, May 18 at 9 a.m. at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (Verizon Hall), 260 South Broad Street. A total of 454 students will receive M.D., Ph.D., and various master's degrees.
