Linda Roth

Linda Roth is Drexel University’s Chief Communications Officer for the College of Medicine. Her primary responsibilities are for the design and implementation of the College of Medicine's external/internal communications, media and public relations strategy, marketing communication, and certain fundraising activities.
Prior to joining Drexel, Roth was General Manager of Corporate Communications at Systems & Computer Technology Corporation in Malvern, Pa. Earlier in her career she held a position for 10 years with PECO Energy Company in Corporate and Public Affairs. Roth has also worked for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
A graduate of Eastern College in St. Davids, Pa., she serves on the boards of the Penndelphia Scholarship Foundation, Avenue of the Arts and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children Foundation. She also serves on the State Consumer Affairs Council for the Governor of Pennsylvania.
Roth is the recent recipient of the Women of Achievement Award from the March of Dimes and a citation from Philadelphia City Council for community service. She was presented with the Epic Award from the International Association of Business Communicators for her internal newsletter. While at Drexel, Roth has been responsible for raising over $3.2 million at fundraising events. She is active in politics and participates in activities that involve service to the community in the areas of the arts, AIDS, children’s causes and chronic illnesses.

Rachel Sparrow

Rachel Sparrow is Drexel University College of Medicine’s Media and Public Relations Director. She is responsible for planning, executing and managing all aspects of media and public relations for the College of Medicine.
Sparrow joined Drexel in 2005 following 10 years as a three-time Emmy award-winning television news producer. She was most recently the executive producer at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, where she supervised the station’s daily news production and special projects. Prior to that, she was a producer at KYW-TV in Philadelphia, and at WBRE-TV, the NBC affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
At the College of Medicine, Sparrow is credited with numerous placements with local, national and international media outlets including The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, CNN, Discovery Health Channel, Associated Press, Los Angeles Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Sparrow graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree from East Stroudsburg University, where she was a double major in communication studies and English. She is a member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She serves on the associate board of the St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children.

Jillian Pearlman

Jillian Pearlman is Drexel University College of Medicine’s Communications Coordinator. She is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of media and public relations for the College of Medicine, as well as writing, planning and editing for the NewsPager and Drexel Med Monitor.
Prior to joining the College of Medicine, Jillian worked as a public relations associate at the American Red Cross Blood Services, Penn-Jersey Region. She graduated cum laude from Temple University where she majored in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media (BTMM) with a minor in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising (JPRA). Jillian spent her last semester in Europe where she studied mass communications on a global scale.
Jillian is a member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and in her spare time enjoys the arts of Philadelphia. She stays active in the community by volunteering with United Way, and she also worked with a local organization to get out the vote for the 2004 presidential election.

Rosanne Middleton

Rosanne Middleton is the Marketing Manager at Drexel University College of Medicine and is responsible for the planning, execution and management of all aspects of marketing for the College of Medicine. This includes strategic plans to support physician group practices, graduate courses and products unique to the College of Medicine. She is responsible for the development, design and management of all advertising campaigns and business development strategies.
Prior to joining the College of Medicine, Rosanne was Marketing Manager at Thomas Scientific in Swedesboro, N.J. She also worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for 10 years where she held positions in the Media Operations department and was responsible for professional promotion of Rx pharmaceutical products in the Women’s Health, Vaccines, and Pharmaceuticals divisions. Rosanne worked on the launch teams of several new pharmaceutical products and also served on a corporate transformation project to prevent product proliferation.
Rosanne graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in York, Pa., with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. She is a member of the Healthcare Marketing Communications Council and volunteers at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, Pa.

Jean Tracy

As the Internal Communications Manager for Drexel University College of Medicine, Jean Tracy is the departmental editor, responsible for the writing, editing and production of the NewsPager, as well as writing or editing periodic reports, marketing materials, speeches and miscellaneous communications. She oversees brand identity, trademark and website matters for the department.
Prior to joining the College of Medicine, Tracy was features editor at Farm Journal, a national magazine with a circulation of 450,000. In addition to writing for Farm Journal and its website, she oversaw the editorial production of the company's two livestock magazines.
Tracy began her editorial career in textbook publishing, after receiving a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a freelance or independent contractor for many years, writing and providing editorial services for a range of clients, including Cooper Medical Center, the Franklin Institute Press, Harper & Row, Prentice-Hall, and the journal, Nutrition and Cancer.
Tracy serves on the boards of the Overbrook Farms civic association and the Walker Center, a nonprofit organization serving developmentally disabled adults and their families.

Adrienne Hovey

Adrienne Hovey is the Web Content Manager for Drexel University College of Medicine. She oversees the University's more than 60 department content managers and is responsible for over 1,100 web pages. She also acts as a liaison between Communications and the Information Technology departments.
Adrienne attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., where she received a B.A. in Biology, with a minor in Anthropology. After graduation, she spent a glorious two months on Sanibel Island in Florida, where she was a veterinary extern with the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW). When it was time to start getting a paycheck, she moved to Boston where she spent four years working as a veterinary technician and supervisor in Diagnostic Imaging at the MSPCA Angell Animal Medical Center. During that time, she acquired a dog, Louie, and a boyfriend, Dave. She moved to the Philadelphia area with both of them, so that Dave could begin a dual degree program at Widener University in Chester. Adrienne’s first job at Drexel was as a Radiation Safety Technologist. During her time there, Dave became her fiancé, and then her husband. After 18 months with Radiation Safety, a change of pace was in order, and Adrienne made the move over to Communications, where she served as Program Coordinator for nine months before taking on the Web Content Manager role.
