Background and Interests

I come from China. I grew up in the city of Jinan, which is famous for her 72 springs. I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at ShandongUniversity, College of Medicine, which was formerly ShandongMedicalUniversity and located in my hometown. I was teaching Experimental Nuclear Medicine and doing biomedical research from 2002 until this June at ShandongUniversity. So it is the first time I left my dear parents so long distance. I have a variety of hobbies, including traveling, Taiji boxing, reading, and listening to the music. I also like swimming but I am not good at it. I would love to improve my guitar skills. I am excited to pursue my Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel. My research interest is the role of cytokines in autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases. After graduation, I would like to continue my career in teaching and research.
