Dr. Lippa leads the Clinical Memory and Cognitive Disorders Program at DUCOM as a multidisciplinary program spanning the clinical sciences. The clinical program has increasing involvement from the departments of Neurology, Psychiatry (Neuropsychology) and Geriatrics, to provide comprehensive evaluations and maximal intervention, including interventions that impact overall health, cognition and behavior.

Your patients can be assessed as a one-time evaluation for an opinion or second opinion, or they can be managed by the cognitive disorders team on an ongoing basis. All patients receive a general physical examination, neurological examination, and mental status testing.

Our available diagnostics include:

  • PET or SPECT scanning
  • Diagnostic CSF studies
  • Neuropsychological assessment
  • MRI scans of the brain, including volumetric analysis
  • Electroencephalography
  • Cerebrovascular studies
  • Genetic testing or other blood testing

In addition to advanced diagnostics, our physicians have expertise in the medication management of behaviors and cognitive symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease and less common dementia subtypes.
