Nabil A. Abaza, DMD, M.S., Ph.D. is a professor and residency program director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Abaza trained at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Abaza also holds a Ph.D. in pathology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Abaza is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has been in the academic branch of his specialty for over 35 years. He is a recipient of three Gold Apple Awards and the Lindback Award for teaching excellence. He practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery of the head and neck region. He is well established as a unique clinician in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologic lesions of this area.

 

Dr. Abaza is well sought after as a national and international speaker. He is an author of 69 papers, chapters in books, and abstracts. His most recent publication is as an invited authorship of a chapter in a nationally and internationally acclaimed Fonseca’s Maxillofacial Surgery Book Series.
