In addition to traditional research endeavors, the Department of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine is privileged to offer breast and cervical cancer screening services for community members without adequate insurance coverage.

The Department provides free mammography screening and Pap smears for women in the Greater Philadelphia Valley. This service is offered in conjunction with the State of Pennsylvania Department of Health and through grant funds awarded by the Philadelphia affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
