Women's Health Seminar Series
Drexel University College of Medicine
Tuesdays 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Educate. Advocate. Integrate. This is the mission of the Women’s Health Education Program, and the purpose of the Women’s Health Seminar Series. It is an elective, 32 hour course that meets on Tuesdays each semester. During the sessions, students explore topics in women’s health beyond the core medical school curriculum. Past discussions have included the politics of lobbying, domestic violence, gender stereotypes, and sexual orientation. The two hour sessions provide students with the opportunity to learn from visiting scholars and the small-group environment engenders meaningful, productive discussions.

The seminars are well attended by medical students, who consistently rate the experience as one of the highlights of their pre-clinical education. Students who fulfill the requirements receive a letter certifying participation for the seminar.
