An e-mail message should contain the same elements as a letter from Drexel University College of Medicine. When formatting an e-mail message, please use the same level of detail as a standard letter or memo.

Message Format

E-mail messages should be formatted as plainly and simply as possible.

  • Use Arial or Helvetica if you require a sans serif font. If you prefer a serif font, use CG Times or Times New Roman.
  • Use a plain white background with black or other dark color type.

This format will ensure that your message can be easily read and printed.

Avoid the use of fancy backgrounds and images in your e-mail correspondence.
