Review Process

In order to ensure the correct logo usage and visual identity for internal and external materials intended for distribution, all printing, advertising, and website material should comply with the guidelines in this manual. All advertising and marketing materials must be reviewed by the Drexel University College of Medicine Communications Department prior to production and distribution.

Prior to printing or advertising placement, a PDF file or hard copy proof should be provided to the Drexel University College of Medicine Communications Department. Allow a minimum of two working days for the proof review process.

The Drexel University College of Medicine Communications Department staff is available to answer questions or provide assistance for your projects. In order to expedite the visual identity review process, you are encouraged to consult with the staff for suggestions and brand identity recommendations for your projects.

This manual reflects policies, practices, and procedures of Drexel University College of Medicine, which are subject to change. This manual is not legal advice and does not replace the advice of counsel.

Note: It is very important that the instructions in this manual be followed, because materials produced by the College of Medicine cannot suggest that Drexel University (a separate corporation) is the responsible entity. We are all obliged by the Board of Trustees to do our best to maintain the legal separation at all times.

Marketing and Advertising Checklist

Before submitting your materials for review to the Communications Department, please complete the following checklist:

  • Review Brand Identity Program guidelines
  • Utilize the correct Drexel University College of Medicine logo
  • Select the appropriate colors and font style
  • Incorporate the appropriate disclaimer statement for the materials
  • Obtain the appropriate consent forms for photographs and personal statements
  • Obtain the necessary approval for the use of any copyright material
  • Use of College of Medicine name:
    No outside entity is permitted to use the names, marks and logos of Drexel University College of Medicine, the name Drexel University, or any related logos, in any marketing or promotional materials without the prior approval of the Communications Department.
