|
The Drexel Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is staffed by highly experienced interventional cardiologists who provide leading-edge diagnosis and treatment. Patients who undergo cardiac catheterization include those experiencing cardiac symptoms and those who have had an EKG or stress test suggesting heart disease. Cardiac catheterization procedures may also be performed on an emergency basis when a patient is having a heart attack.
Our expert interventional cardiologists provide comprehensive care based on the latest academic medical research. Patients appreciate that our physicians are skilled communicators who listen to their concerns, take the time to discuss their diagnosis and involve them in treatment decisions.
Our interventional cardiologists perform the following procedures in the catheterization lab:
- Angiography
- Angioplasty and Stenting
- Thrombectomy
