Cardiothoracic Research Biophysics and Computing
The mission of the CVI Computer Center (CVICC) is to provide tools and resources for processing information (i.e. data, signals, images). The resources include computer hardware and software for the collection and analysis of clinical and research data.
In addition to the routine clinical information management projects the Computer Center is credited for implementing (designing and writing) a sophisticated signal acquisition and analysis programs.
The Cardiovascular Biophysics (CVB) Laboratory is an interdisciplinary facility bridging the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Division of Cardiovascular Disease.
The research activity within the Research Laboratory is multidisciplinary in its approach utilizing the diverse tools of physical, mathematical, and biological sciences (such as: biomedical engineering, biophysics, medical physics and medical informatics). The facility provides a focal point for application of the thinking, techniques and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering and computer science in a number of basic research projects.
