The infectious disease specialists at Drexel University College of Medicine have at least 10 years of specialized medical training and are board-certified in internal medicine and infectious disease. Infectious disease practitioners are dedicated to provide services for both hospitalized and ambulatory adult patients.
Services

Diagnosis and treatment of infections and infectious diseases, including influenza, tuberculosis, Lyme disease, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and other infections related to surgery, transplantation, trauma, and cancer therapy

Provision of immunizations, antibiotics, and other prophylaxis for infection prevention, including travel medicine

Prevention and treatment of healthcare-associated infections, such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Clostridium difficile, and education of health care professionals to prevent disease transmission

Comprehensive primary care services to patients with HIV/AIDS

Patient education on disease prevention topics including hygiene, food preparation, and water potability

Clinical research in immunology and investigation of vaccine therapy for infectious diseases
Appointments For an appointment with an infectious disease specialist, call 215-762-6555.
Referrals All patients must have a referral to make an appointment with one of our infectious disease specialists.
Cancellation Policy We request that 24-hour notice be given for appointment cancellations.
Insurance Most major insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare. Patients with no insurance are accepted as fee-for-service, and payments are due at time of appointment. |
