 What is Pathology? Minimize

Pathology, literally the study of disease, is a branch of medicine in which specialized physicians work to derive information from laboratory tests and tissue specimens. This information is then transmitted to the physicians caring directly for the patient. A shorter way to put it is that pathologists are "the doctor's doctor." Pathologists are doctors who take at least four years of training after medical school in order to become familiar with all of the different areas of the laboratory.
