Who can utilize the Regional Autopsy Service?
Our services are available to hospitals, nursing facilities, attorneys, families or any institution or individual having the legal right to authorize the performance of an autopsy.
The Regional Autopsy Service utilizes private transportation services to transport the deceased to our facilities. Special care is taken to ensure that proper respect is maintained in al circumstances.
Why perform an autopsy?
The primary reason an autopsy should be performed is to resolve any questions that a family, physician, or any interested party may have concerning the nature of the illness or cause of death. The autopsy can provide additional information for legal purposes or health information pertinent to surviving family members.

Facilities may contract with us to perform autopsies routinely or on an as-needed basis. As a part of our services, we perform the autopsy, provide diagnoses, perform special studies as requested and report results to you. We comply with all applicable certification and quality control standards, including JCAHO and CAP standards.
