There are two certified teachers on staff at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. These teachers work in conjunction with the School District of Philadelphia to provide children with educational services during their hospitalizations. In order to be eligible for services, a child must have a chronic illness such as Sickle Cell Disease, Cystic Fibrosis or Cancer. Children who are expected to miss at least four weeks of school are also entitled to educational services.
