Breast Center at Drexel University College of Medicine(TM)
The multidisciplinary breast center at Drexel University College of Medicine(TM) is the product of close cooperation between the departments of Surgery, Radiology, Radiation Therapy, and Oncology. The mission of the Breast Center is twofold:
1. Provide our patients rapid access to the highest quality care and innovations in therapy.
2. Advance our understanding of breast cancer through multidisciplinary clinical and basic science research.
Our approach to the person with a breast disorder involves a friendly environment in which waiting times are kept to a minimum. Our goal is to obtain and discuss the results of diagnostic tests and biopsies with you within 2 days, some tests may be performed and interpreted during the same visit to our breast center. A nurse who is easy to contact and able to guide you through the various stages of diagnosis, treatment and followup will manage your case. |
