Drexel University College of Medicine is home to a special multi-disciplinary program directed at the care of persons with a variety of disorders involving the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. Our clinical service includes specialists from the surgery and GI services who have particular expertise in the care of a wide realm of disorders. This program overlaps and blends seamlessly with our transplantation and surgical oncology programs.

- William C. Meyers, MD
Chairman Department of Surgery A pioneer in liver transplantation and an expert in the management of complex bile duct problems. Dr. Meyers has special interest in minimally invasive approaches to liver and biliary disorders.
- Ari D. Brooks, MD
Surgcial Oncology Dr. Brooks has special interest in surgery for liver and pancreas cancers. He is also experienced in the treatment of these tumors by Radio-frequency ablation as well as the use of the Hepatic Artery Infusion Pump for delivery of chemotherapy directly to the liver. - James St. George, MD
Chief of interventional radiology Dr St. George has experience in the management of patients with complex bile duct problems using a variety of stent techniques.
- Thomas J. Quinn, MD
Dr. Quinn has interest in the management of liver tumors by percutaneous ablation techniques.
- Jeffrey P. Weiss, MD
Dr. Weiss has special experience in the treatment of liver tumors by chemo-embolization. Gastroenterology
- Robert F. Boynton, MD
Dr. Boynton has extensive experience performing ERCP (a technique used to see and work inside the bile ducts through a scope that is placed through the mouth into the stomach) In addition he is skilled at the removal of certain types of benign tumors involving the bile ducts using the endoscope. |
