New course - Drug Discovery and Development

A new course offering, Pharmacology 525, will be available starting this fall semester. 

Directed by James E. Barrett, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, the course will provide an in-depth exposure to the concepts and processes involved in drug discovery and development as practiced in the biopharmaceutical industry. It will cover all facets from target identification through preclinical and clinical evaluation to the final regulatory and approval process.

The course is generally intended for graduate students in the biomedical sciences, but open to others with at least an undergraduate degree and who are interested in the pharmaceutical industry.
