Call for Abstracts: Discovery 2008

      Abstracts for Discovery 2008 are now being accepted, and we invite you to participate! The annual day of research at Drexel University College of Medicine, will be held on October 15th at the Queen Lane Campus. Abstract submissions for platform presentations are due August 25th; abstracts for poster submissions are due September 15th.

 

This all-day event of intellectual pursuit and discovery is organized to celebrate the basic and clinical research accomplishments of the graduate, medical and undergraduate students, clinical research coordinators, post-doctoral fellows and residents associated or affiliated with the College.  It is anticipated that more than 220 posters will be presented on topics as diverse as inflammation, infectious diseases, molecular and cell biology, cancer, neuroscience, cardiology and genomics. The morning session is dedicated to individual poster presentations, followed in the afternoon by platform presentations of selected abstracts.

The keynote speaker for the event is Bruce McEwen, Ph.D., Rockefeller University, who will present “Sex, stress and the brain: from serendipity to clinical relevance.”
