Dr. Ahmad's special interests include gastrointestinal motility disorders, specifically esophageal and anorectal disorders. She also focuses on digestive diseases specific to women and serves as the course director for the annual National Forum on Women's Issues in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

 

Teaching

Dr. Ahmad is currently an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and program director for the fellowship training program. She is also actively involved in the investigation and implementation of novel educational tools for endoscopic training.
