Dr. Elias Giraldo is a board certified neurologist with added board certifications in vascular neurology and neurocritical care who specializes in vascular neurology (stroke) and neurocritical care. He is the director of the Drexel Neurology Stroke Program. Dr. Giraldo's areas of expertise include all aspects of cerebrovascular disease and neurological critical care, especially acute treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, thrombolytic and mechanical thrombectomy treatment.

Research

Dr. Giraldo's clinical research is focused on the study of reperfusion treatment for acute ischemic stroke, development of stroke and neurocritical care databases, stroke clinical trials, stroke and neurocritical care outcomes, and stroke epidemiology.
