Biography

Frank Lexa is a professor in the Department of Radiologic Sciences. He also serves as vice chairman of research and academic affairs.

Dr. Lexa earned his M.D. in 1985 from Stanford University. He subsequently completed a medical internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and an ophthalmology residency at Stanford Medical Center.

His diagnostic radiology residency began at UC San Francisco and continued at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, including a first year specialization in neuroradiology. He then completed a fellowship in the neuroradiology section of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, also at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

He lectures on a broad range of topics, including ethics, health care reform and its impact on radiology, medical economics and contract negotiations, as well as clinical topics in neuroradiology.
