John M. Fontaine, M.D., FACC, is director of cardiac arrythmia services at Drexel Cardiology. He specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, which is the study of the electrical system of the heart. His areas of expertise include implanting pacemakers and defibrillators, managing arrythmias or irregular heart beats, and performing ablations, a technique used to treat abnormal heart rhythms. Dr. Fontaine is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
