Biography

Mary M. Moran, M. D.,  is associate professor of pediatrics and vice dean for faculty affairs and professional development at Drexel University College of Medicine. In May 2010, she was named vice president of the Philadelphia Health & Education Corporation.

She received her B.S. in biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  She completed her residency and chief residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh prior to joining the medical staff of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. She also completed the Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship Program at Michigan State University. 

Her clinical interests include general pediatrics and caring for children who are dependent on technology.  She has been recognized repeatedly for her excellence in clinical care and has been listed in Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Docs and “Best Doctors of America” multiple times.  She has also received a number of awards for excellence in teaching medical students and residents and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
