Dr. Hankins specializes in heart failure and heart transplant care. She helped to establish The Center for Advanced Heart Failure at Hahnemann University Hospital in 2005. Dr. Hankins is the director of the Mechanical Assistance Destination and Heart Transplant Programs. She has developed a care plan using ventricular assist devices in those patients who are not candidates for transplant surgery.
