Patient Care

Dr. Li specializes in the treatment of diseases affecting the back of the eye, specifically those of the retina, the vitreous and the macula. He is trained in surgical and medical techniques for treating many  issues including diabetic eye diseases, macular degeneration, ocular tumors, retinal detachments, uveitis and vitreous hemorrhages.

Dr. Li was the chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (one of the most competitive and internationally respected medical colleges in the People's Republic of China).

Research

Dr. Li conducts basic and clinical research on diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. He has published over 50 scientific articles in the field of ophthalmology and has received various awards and honors for his research.
