New Faculty Recruitment

As part of its continuing growth, the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Drexel University College of Medicine invites applications for 2 tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek individuals who are investigating important biochemical processes at the molecular level. Candidates whose research complements existing strengths in the department are especially encouraged to apply. These strengths include cancer biology, DNA replication and repair, transcription, cell cycle, post-translational modifications, protein structure/function, proteomics, enzymology, and cytokines. Excellent facilities are available, including X-ray crystallography, MS/MS, Biacore, and confocal and live imaging. The department is conveniently located in Center City Philadelphia, and offers a collegial and stimulating environment with many opportunities for collaboration. The department occupies recently renovated space; state-of-the-art equipment and competitive startup funds are available. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., relevant postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of research accomplishments. Faculty are expected to establish vigorous, independent, and well-funded research programs and to participate in graduate and medical education.
