Thesis Research Summary:

I graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in biological sciences. During my last year I took a few microbiology courses that really sparked my interest. I decided to apply to the Drexel Medicine Microbiology and Immunology Master’s program in 2010 and was accepted. Halfway through my first year I decided I wanted to continue my education at Drexel, so I transitioned to the Ph.D. program. I am currently in Dr. Jim Burns' Malaria vaccine laboratory, characterizing a malarial surface protein. When I’m not working in lab I love to read, go to the movies, hang out with my friends or my family, and dancing, especially to Lady Gaga.
