Thesis Research Summary:
I completed my bachelor's degree in biology at Gordon College in Massachusetts.  After completing two summer internships at Ohio State University and Penn State College of Medicine during my undergraduate years, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in microbiology.  My research in Dr. Bill Bergman's lab is focused on an uncharacterized but potentially important signaling pathway in Plasmodium falciparum, which causes human malaria.
