Thesis Research Summary:

Background and interests: I am interested in understanding the characteristics of urine DNA and how transrenal apoptotic bodies are able to be secreted. This could hold potential in biomarker screening of cancer or viral infected patients. I am also interested in studying viruses known to establish latency and how they are able to utilize epigenetic modifications such as DNA methylation, histone modification, or chromatin modification to evade host cell protective immune response or be removed by the host cell. In my spare time I enjoy running and swimming. I also like to travel.
