Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center

The Drexel Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center Mission

To promote teamwork among patients, families and healthcare providers, to optimize the life of persons with cystic fibrosis.

Welcome to the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center at Drexel University College of Medicine!

The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center has a rich legacy since its founding at the former Medical College of Pennsylvania as one of the first centers dedicated to the treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis. We continue the same passion and commitment to our patients today.

About Adult Cystic Fibrosis

With a mean age of almost 37 years, cystic fibrosis is no longer a pediatric disease. Adult cystic fibrosis patients have their own unique issues. Our center is staffed by trained pulmonologists fully committed to the specialized care of adult patients. We deal with special topics including balancing cystic fibrosis treatments with work and family life, and family planning. We will also work with your regular physician to optimize your care for cystic fibrosis. In addition to treating patients, our center is dedicated to the training of healthcare professionals in the care of cystic fibrosis and performing research to improve the lives of our patients.
