Our mission is to increase knowledge and awareness of sex and gender differences by promoting, stimulating and supporting research relevant to women throughout Drexel, and to serve as a catalyst for innovative collaborations. Key elements of this mission are the yearly Sex and Gender Research Forum and IWHL’s database of Drexel researchers in this field.
Our support extends to clinical, basic and social/behavioral research related to women’s health as well as their role in society.
IWHL works closely with deans, department heads and faculty of Drexel's different Colleges and Schools to encourage sex and gender research in different disciplines as part of the scientific framework at Drexel.
