That's why the Drexel Convenient Care Center is offering a free skin check on Thursday, September 27th from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. No appointment is needed; just walk right in! The Drexel Convenient Care Center is located in the Shops at Liberty Place on 16th Street between Market and Chestnut Streets.

On October 4, Discovery 2012, the College's annual research day, is expected to draw more than 300 posters on topics as diverse as infectious diseases, cancer, behavioral neurobiology and many more.

Philadelphia, PA (August 30, 2012) — The Pew Charitable Trusts recently awarded Drexel University College of Medicine's Department of Family, Community and Preventive Medicine a three-year, $150,000 grant to support a home visit program for homebound, low-income seniors in Philadelphia. The newly-created program—Drexel Geriatric Home Visit Model (DGHVM)—combines comprehensive geriatric assessments with home visits for this underserved population. The DGHVM will provide approximately 250-300 home visits during the length of the project.

With those final words of the Hippocratic Oath, Drexel University College of Medicine welcomed 260 new medical students during the annual White Coat Ceremony on August 10th. This wonderful tradition is celebrated by medical schools across the country and is an important first step for these future physicians as they receive the traditional symbol of clinical care and service- the white coat.

Philadelphia magazine has named the Drexel Convenient Care Center as its "Best of Philly 2012 Medi-Clinic" in its August 2012 issue.
