Philadelphia, PA (May 7, 2012) – Proud family and friends will gather to honor members of the Class of 2012 during the commencement ceremony for Drexel University College of Medicine on Friday, May 18 at 9 a.m. at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (Verizon Hall), 260 South Broad Street. A total of 454 students will receive M.D., Ph.D., and various master's degrees.

Philadelphia, PA (May 3, 2012) - Civic leader Dianne Semingson received Drexel University College of Medicine's 10th annual WOMAN ONE Award on April 23 at a reception at the Rittenhouse Hotel for 350 business and community leaders.

Philadelphia, PA (May 1, 2012) - Philadelphia magazine has published its annual list of the region's "Top Doctors" in various specialties. The list can be found in the May issue of the magazine on newsstands now. The list will be available online at www.phillymag.com on May 14th.

Drexel University College of Medicine students recently gathered together to honor faculty and staff during the 2012 Golden Apple Teaching Awards Ceremony. The student activities center at the Queen Lane Campus was filled to honor those who excelled in teaching and to say goodbye to a respected administrator.

Ralph Riviello, M.D., M.S., associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, has recently been appointed president of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. The chapter represents more than 1,300 emergency medicine physicians and residents in the state.
