The Fourth Annual Medical Student Research Day will be held on March 12, 2015, on the Queen Lane Campus. Posters will be presented from 1-4 p.m., followed by a keynote lecture by Keith Cengel, MD, PhD, associate professor of radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cengel's lecture, "From Biochemist to Clinical Trialest and Back Again: A Physician Scientist's Journey," will be followed by a reception and awards presentation. Poster judging will include three separate categories of research:
- MD/PhD students who work full time on their research between Years 2 and 3 of medical school
- Basic science research
- Clinical research
Faculty volunteers will judge the posters for content, presentation and appearance. See the winners from last year's event.
- Submission website is now accepting abstracts.
- Deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, February 13, 2015.
Medical Student Research Day Poster Creation and Printing
The Center for Scientific Communication and Outreach is available to print your Medical Student Research Day poster.
Please email your files to Raphael Lukov at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop them off in person at the New College Building, Room 18302. The deadline to submit your posters is Friday, March 6 by noon. Posters will be printed as received so please only submit the absolute final copy. Reprints, at personal expense, can only be done if time allows. You will receive an email from the Center for Scientific Communication and Outreach when your poster is ready to be picked up. All posters must be picked up from the New College Building, Room 18302.
A PowerPoint template for the 40x48 size with the Drexel University College of Medicine approved logo can be found here: (template with a DUCOM logo). Please do not use the College "Studium Et Inventio" Seal, which is reserved for documents such as diplomas.
