Dr. Sherif is associate professor of Medicine, chief of clinical services in Women's Health, and director of the Drexel Medicine Center for Women's Health. She specializes in the prevention of heart disease in women, menopause, diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Leslie Everts, M.D.

Dr. Everts has special interests in treating women, adolescents and the underserved. She helped establish a health center in Upper Darby, Pa., and produced a video about caring for multicultural patients. In addition to seeing patients, she is the director of the Student Health Service at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Annette Gadegbeku, M.D.

Dr. Gadegbeku's involvement in medicine extends beyond her practice at Drexel Family Medicine in Manayunk. She volunteers as a physician tutor at community health clinics and serves as an ambassador for a Jamaican ministry. Dr. Gadegbeku attended Temple University School of Medicine.
Jennifer Hamilton, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Hamilton specializes in the effect of spirituality on health and healthcare. Taking a holistic approach to medicine is important to her; she incorporates alternative medicine in her approach to family medicine. Hamilton has a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Rutgers University and attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey.
JulieAnne Hlavec-Bruno, M.D.

Dr. Hlavec's special interests include pediatrics and preventive care. She is director of the Family Medicine Pathway, a faculty mentorship program. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and spent four years in private practice in Delaware before joining Drexel in 2002.
Shailaja Nair, M.D.

Dr. Nair is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine. Her experience extends beyond her practice at the Center for Women's Health: Nair participates in various clinical trials, including one that is evaluating the testosterone patch. She is a graduate of Calicut Medical College in India.
Susan Langmuir, PA-C

Susan Langmuir is a certified physicians' assistant who joined the Drexel Center for Women's Health in 1996. She previously worked at the Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in the emergency department and the department of medicine. Langmuir has been active in the women's health community for years and has a special interest in reproductive rights and increasing access to healthcare.
Christine Soutendijk, M.D.
Primary Care, Menopause and Bone Health
Dr. Soutendijk is the assistant director of the Drexel Medicine Center for Women's Health, and has been an assistant professor of medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine since 1998. Her interest in women's health began in medical school while writing a literature review on the psychosocial impact of breast cancer. She has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 1997. Dr. Soutendijk continues to be interested in the effect of disease on mental health and quality of life, and has special interests in osteoporosis, menopause, and metabolic syndrome.
Nielufar Varjavand, M.D.
Primary Care and Internal Medicine
Dr. Varjavand focuses on preventive care to help maintain good health. In addition to taking care of patients, she is involved in developing educational programs for medical students, residents, and physicians. Dr. Varjavand has done research on domestic violence, medical errors, and the re-entry of physicians after a hiatus from healthcare.
Julie Wang, M.D.
Primary Care, Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine
Dr. Wang is interested in detecting sleep-related problems, such as sleep apnea, through her primary care practice. She completed the Drexel/Hahnemann Sleep Medicine Fellowship program before joining Drexel Medicine. Dr. Wang practices both at the Center for Women's Health Center City location and in Manayunk, home to the Drexel Sleep Center.
Julie Yeh, M.D., MPH
Primary Care and Family Medicine
Dr. Yeh's interests include maternity care, preventive medicine and health disparities. She has a degree from New Jersey Medical School and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She practices family medicine in Manayunk.
