A Message from Carolyn R. O’Connor, M.D.
Chief, Division of Rheumatology

Our goal is to provide relief to patients with painful rheumatologic conditions

The Division of Rheumatology at Drexel University College of Medicine is a thriving clinical and academic center. We are devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Our physicians are experts in their specialty areas, being leaders in clinical research and education. Drexel University College of Medicine Rheumatology Division sponsors infusion therapy  where patients with uncontrolled arthritis can receive intravenous medications to prevent damage to bones and joints.

  • We specialize in rheumatoid arthritis with ongoing research opportunities for interested patients.
  • Our close relationship with the College's Department of Orthopedics allows us to more carefully address the special needs of patients with rheumatoid arthritis who need surgery.
  • University supplies an additional resource from collaborative biotech research.
  • Our Marlton, N.J., site offers bone densitometry. Our physicians will give you your readings on the day the study is performed.
