The Department of Surgery offers one of the largest arrays of medical specialties in the College of Medicine. Our physicians are at the forefront of innovative techniques and leaders in their respective areas. We have physicians who specialize in the following areas of surgery: athletic pubalgia, colorectal, cryoablation of renal and prostate cancer, endocrine, gastric bypass (weight-loss surgery), laparoscopic, hepato-pancreato-billiary, oncology, oral and maxillofacial, transplantation, trauma, urology, vascular surgery, and wound care. Our goal is to achieve the best outcomes and experience for our patients by providing the best care possible.
Our vision is to be the national leader in clinical care, medical education, and research. We are achieving this vision by performing innovative surgeries, developing innovative education programs, and participating in innovative clinical trials. As with any organization, the most important resources we have are our human resources. Our physicians and support staff treat patients with respect and partner with them to get the best results in their full continuum of care.
We hope that our web pages are helpful as you investigate the options available for your care. Don't hesitate to contact us if we can help you answer any questions.
