All hospitals and medical centers affiliated with Drexel University College of Medicine must comply with our graphic identity guidelines when using the College of Medicine's name and its logos, seals, insignias, and marks (hereinafter "marks"), as described below.
The format and text of any such materials must be approved in advance by designated officials at the affiliated campus and DUCOM's Marketing & Communications Department (215-255-7330).
Use of College Name and Marks
Affiliated hospitals and health systems may use DUCOM's name and marks in the following ways:
On signage, banners and flags. Depending on the scope, nature and type of affiliation relationship between DUCOM and the affiliate, the dean or the executive director of marketing & communications may authorize the use of the following designations by an affiliate.

Regional Medical Campus designation: "A Regional Medical Campus of Drexel University College of Medicine."

Academic Campus designation: "A teaching affiliate of Drexel University College of Medicine" or "An academic affiliate of Drexel University College of Medicine" or "An academic campus of Drexel University College of Medicine."

Other variation approved by DUCOM's executive director of marketing & communications.
On a website. This is permitted only for academic (non-clinical) purposes.
In advertising and marketing materials. Please see the policy for Marketing, Advertising & Promotional Materials.
On stationery. Use of the College of Medicine logo on stationery is permitted only for academic purposes, and provided the following disclaimer is included:
"[Affiliate] is affiliated with Drexel University College of Medicine. The College of Medicine grants appointments to [Affiliate's] faculty for academic, teaching and research purposes only, and is not involved in patient treatment or care. Drexel University College of Medicine is a separate not-for-profit subsidiary of Drexel University."

On lab coats for faculty and residents. Affiliated hospitals and health systems may provide an approved College of Medicine insignia for lab coats of Drexel Medicine faculty and residents.

The Official College of Medicine Seal. Use of the seal is restricted to documents of institutional or legal importance: diplomas, certificates, commencement programs, transcripts.
Use of DUCOM Marks by Non-Compensated Faculty at Affiliated Campuses
Medical staff and personnel at the affiliate who are granted non-compensated faculty appointments by DUCOM may use DUCOM's name and its logos as permitted under DUCOM's "Guidelines for Non-compensated Faculty." The Guidelines include rules and instructions for ordering DUCOM business cards and stationery.
Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs
The use of the Drexel University College of Medicine name, logo, and seal for graduate medical education programs must comply with the guidelines provided in the formal legal agreement completed by the academic campus.
Specifically, all certificates that are prepared for graduate medical education programs (also known as residency education) must clearly identify Drexel University College of Medicine as the sponsoring institution. Samples of the templates for the GME certificates using the Drexel University College of Medicine name should be sent for review to:
