Message from the President

The Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Health and Education Corporation d/b/a Drexel University College of Medicine (the “University”) has adopted a Compliance Program on April 13, 2000. The purpose of the Compliance Program is to provide guidance to Members of the University Community to ensure that the University’s activities are conducted in an ethical and legal manner.

Given the complexity of the laws and regulations governing health care providers, this Compliance Program is intended to be a practical and straightforward guide on what constitutes proper conduct and on how to handle and report questionable activities that may arise or that may be proposed. It is expected that all Members of the University Community will follow, in spirit and in action, the guidance provided in this Compliance Program.

Due to the on-going changes in the health care industry, the Compliance Program will be updated and revised periodically. In addition, policies and procedures addressing compliance standards will be issued from time to time and will become part of this Compliance Program.

We ask that you read the Compliance Program carefully, become familiar with the information contained in it, and conform to its guidelines. Your support and adherence to this Compliance Program are critical to our future.

Constantine Papadakis, Ph.D.
President
