 Schleyer Family Matching Gift Challenge – Guidelines
What Gifts Qualify for a Schleyer Family Match?

New qualifying cash gifts and pledges made by individual donors designated for support of medical students whose career choice is to serve as a primary care physician in medically underserved communities, with a focus on Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Requires a minimum outright gift or pledge of $25,000.

Payment can be a one-time outright gift or a maximum 5-year pledge commitment.

Corporate matching gifts resulting from qualified gifts and payments made by individual donors will be included when calculating the matched amount.
About the Matching Gift

50% match from the Schleyer Challenge for every dollar received/pledged; maximum gift that will be matched by the Schleyer Challenge is $75,000. (Note: Annual cap is $75,000; donor is eligible to take advantage of match in subsequent years with new outright gifts or pledges.)

Matching dollars will be prorated according to the annual payment amount ($200,000 annually).

Annual matched dollars ($200,000 annually) are limited to first outright gift and/or documented pledges.

Please note that gifts-in-kind and planned/deferred gifts are not eligible toward meeting the minimum gift amounts required for matching funds.
