Alumnae

In our 15th class, ELAM is now 622 fellows and alumnae strong. Many of our graduates now hold key leadership positions at academic health centers and other institutions around the country, where they are working to set the course for the future of academic medicine and dentistry.

We have compiled a historic document with all of the ELAM Classes, with pictures, names and titles as of the time of their participation in the program.

Directory of ELAM Alumnae - This directory is a PDF of positions as listed in the ELAM database as of January 31, 2009.  This PDF is searchable by name, year, or school using the Acrobat reader search function.  For additional contact information, you may contact the individual's home institutions.  For ELAM related activities or reunions, you may contact the ELAM office for directories specific to your purpose. In addition, to assist you with networking with your fellow ELUMS, we have created the following:

New Web Resources for ELUMS

As the number of our alumnae grows, so do our collective resources. The ELUM network has become a unique nexus of knowledge and experience, with enormous potential to serve its own members and influence the future of academic medicine, dentistry and public health.

In recognition of this growing power and potential, we have made strengthening and serving the ELUM network one of our long-term goals. Over the coming years, we will be working to facilitate information-sharing among our alumnae and seeking other opportunities to link them to resources that support their continued leadership growth.

ELAM has established a portal on LinkedIn for ELAM Alumnae to see current articles of interest, links to curricular materials, participate in dission boards, send eachother messages, create recomendations or share knowledge and resources.  In order to participate, you must be an ELAM Alumnae, and create a free LinkedIn Account. Once you have created an account, you can click "groups" in the left hand menu, and then "find a group" to search for ELAM. As a group member you will be able to access all of the ELAM resources. Contact Tori Odhner at vodhner@drexelmed.edu for help getting started.

In October of 2006, a password protected, searchable database was released for ELUMS to enter their contact, interest and expertise information, in order to facilitate networking, job searches and collaboration. To visit this database, go to http://inside.drexelmed.edu/ELAMPub. The e-mail address you use to enter the site must match the one we have on record for you in order for you to gain access. Contact Tori Odhner at vodhner@drexelmed.edu if you have any difficulties accessing this site.

We encourage our ELUMs to give us suggestions for how we might improve the ELUM websites and further strengthen the network. We look forward to hearing from everyone!

ELAM is a core program of the Institute for Women's Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pa. The Institute continues the legacy of advancing women in medicine that began in 1850 with the founding of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, the nation's first women's medical school and a predecessor of today's Drexel University College of Medicine.
