About the 2011 Forum on Emerging Issues
Presented in two parts, the 2011 forum opened with a poster symposium that showcased the progress and early outcomes of ELAM fellows' institutional action projects. Following a reception and dinner, the forum continued that evening and into the following day with Total Leadership — a tool for improving performance in all areas of life — presented by Dr. Stewart Friedman of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Institutional action projects presented by the fellows at the poster symposium were grouped by four overarching topics:
Poster Symposium: Institutional Action Projects - Organizational Impact and Leadership Lessons
The goals of the 2011 poster symposium were to:
-
Highlight the accomplishments of the fellows and identify future opportunities for collaboration and leadership roles.
-
Provide a space for content-rich interaction between fellows and guests.
-
Support extended peer networking and collaboration on institutional change efforts.
-
Demonstrate the overarching impact of ELAM institutional action projects on organization improvement.
