SURGICAL IMMERSION PROGRAM

A Physician's Refresher

A few highlights of the 6 week program: 

• Observe and become integrated with the treatment team, attend patient rounds, go into the OR where you will observe up-to-date medical care, surgical techniques and new technology currently being used in the United States.  
• Have the opportunity to attend grand rounds, noon conferences and lectures with Drexel fellows, residents and students.
• Meet with your faculty preceptor for regular discussions, instruction and ongoing reinforcement of the learning fprocess. 
• Practice the newest surgical techniques with state-of-the-art surgical simulators and become proficient with the newest and most innovative equipment and techniques used today.
• Care for virtual on-line patients (DxR).   

Who would be interested in this surgical program?

• An international medical graduate who wishes to be accepted into a U.S. surgical education training program (does not guarantee acceptance into this or any other residency program).
• A physician who wishes to return to an active surgical practice after an extended leave.
• A physician who wishes to enhance surgical skills. 

Tuition:  $7,500.00
