The dermatology residency program at Drexel University College of Medicine is a three-year advanced program.
The three-year residency in the Department of Dermatology (PGY2-4) offers comprehensive clinical training in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes. The training includes didactic and interactive conference sessions as well as the opportunity to conduct clinical research. The program is designed to provide a progressively varied dermatologic surgical experience, to develop increasing independence in clinical judgment with appropriate supervision, and to cultivate leadership qualities that culminate in both clinical and teaching responsibilities in the chief resident year. The program is centered primarily at Hahnemann University Hospital, with several outside rotations.
Please note that dermatology residents are employed by and insured by the hospital (Tenet). Dermatology residents are not employees of Drexel University College of Medicine.
