Hahnemann University Hospital is located at the intersection of North Broad and Vine streets in Center City Philadelphia; the 618-bed facility admits roughly 16,000 patients a year, treats more than 89,500 out patients and sees more than 25,000 peoplein its emergency department.
Drexel Dermatology
Drexel Dermatology is located across the street from the main hospital at 219 N. Broad Street. Renovated in 2002, the fourth floor clinic includes eight examining rooms, one general procedure room, two dedicated MOHS surgical procedure rooms and a laser room. Residents are exposed to a wide variety of dermatologic diseases, as this clinic averages 1,200 patients per year. The offices for the department are also housed in this location, along with the resident office and conference room.
Dermatologic surgery training occurs directly with our own Mohs Surgeon, Dr. Mark Abdelmalek, at the Drexel Dermatology practice, and with Dr. Stephen Greenbaum at his private Center City practice - one of the busiest in Philadelphia.
The Manayunk Clinic
The Manayunk Clinic is located at 10 Shurs Lane in Manayunk in a newly renovated building where a wide range of clinical dermatologic services are offered.
The Institute for Dermatopathology
The Institute for Dermatopathology in Newtown Squre is under the supervision of Dr. Gary Kantor and Dr. Spielvogel.
Please note that dermatology residents are employed by and insured by the hospital (Tenet). Dermatology residents are not employees of Drexel University College of Medicine.
